IMPORTANT MESSAGE

On March 13, 2020, President Trump declared a state of emergency due to the coronavirus. California State Governor Newsom held a press conference Sunday, March 15 where he gives direction to people 65 years of age and older, as well as those with compromised immune systems, to isolate themselves by staying home, while others are urged to practice deep social distancing. President Trump provided further guidance Monday, March 16, stating groups should not include more than ten (10) people and citizens are encouraged to avoid restaurants, bars, and food courts. In light of these announcements, guidance from the Center of Disease Control, and in an effort to protect the health of our guests and employees,  it is with great sadness Lucas Wharf Restaurant & Bar is temporarily closed until further notice. We will continue to monitor all updates from County, State, and Federal authorities and will be cleaning the building thoroughly during our closure. We will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.

 BACKGROUND

COVID-19, originally known as 2019-nCoV, is a strain of a large family of coronaviruses which can be transmitted from animals to humans. It was first identified as the cause of a respiratory illness outbreak in Wuhan, China in late 2019.

SYMPTOMS

COVID-19 symptoms are similar to the cold or flu, and may take up to 14 days to appear after exposure to the virus. Be vigilant as severe cases may lead to pneumonia, kidney failure or death.

Mild symptoms may include:

• Cough & Sore Throat
• Difficulty Breathing
• Muscle Pain & Weakness
• Chills & Fatigue
• Impaired Liver & Kidney Function

Your health and safety is our first priority. We ask if you are experiencing any flu like symptoms that you please reschedule your dining experience with us. 

We are doing our part to maintain daily cleaning procedures recommended by health officials by cleaning surfaces multiple times per day, including wiping our menus after each use.
